After a one near hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Devilbend Fun Run & Walk Committee alongside the Mornington Peninsula Athletic Club are very excited to announce plans for the event to proceed in 2021.
Pending any necessary legal arrangements and COVID-safe requirements, we have set a tentative date of Sunday 8th August for the event.
Returning to the beautiful surrounds of Devilbend Natural Features Reserve and the surrounding rural dirt roads, runners and walkers will be able to challenge themselves across 7km, 12km or the 21.1km half marathon, with a special magic mile also being run for the kids.
Funds raised from the event will go toward funding a pavilion at the new Mornington Athletics Track, recently built at Civic Reserve.
With the history of the race stretching back as far as 1975, the last five editions of the event have seen as many as 600 enthusiastic runners and walkers take up the challenge.
More information on specific details around the event, entry numbers and COVID requirements will be worked out in the following weeks - we appreciate your understanding here.
Stay tuned to our Facebook Page, Facebook Group and via our email newsletter for more updates and we prepare to open entries for the 2021 Devilbend Fun Run & Walk.
