Do I get a medal?
All finishers in all events will receive a bespoke Devilbend Trail Run medal.
Are there prizes for winners?
We're strong on community and encouraging of all competitors. Whether you're up the front or completing your first fun run at the rear of the field, we value your participation in our event! That said, we do offer small sponsor gifts for those competitive beasts that take out the top spots of our distance events. These gifts will be determined prior to race day, will be split equally among male and female, and will be staggered in value from the longest event to the shortest. There are no prizes for individual age group winners within each event, or placegetter prizes for the Kid's Mile.
How accurate are the course distances?
We have measured all sections of the course with a measuring wheel back. This was after two of us completed the course together but got 800m difference according to our Garmin watches. So while your watch may give a slightly different distance, we are confident of the course length. The 4km, 7km and 21.1km course are the correct distance, while the 12km is actually 12.183km
When will I receive my race bib? (2024 TBC)
Your timing chip is attached to your race bib, must be worn throughout the event and clearly visible on your front.
DO NOT fold your bib as you may damage the chip. Replacement bibs cost $5.
How do the results work?
Electronic timing equipment is used to ensure accurate results. Results are available online almost immediately you cross the finish line. We do everything possible to get everyone's time correct, however if you spot something wrong please send an email to info@devilbend.com.au so we can fix it.
Are there cut-off times?
You must be off Hodgins road by noon. This affects the Half Marathon (15.9km in) and 12km runs.
In the Half Marathon, to reach Hodgins road by the cut-off time mean you would need to maintain an average pace of 11:20/km - or 56:40 for each 5km.
Are there on-the-day entries?
On the day entries will be available if we have capacity. All entries must be via our online registration portal. No cash or credit card entries will be taken.
What about drinks on course?
Water and electrolyte drinks will be provided on course. The drinks will not be handed to runners so the runners must pick up their own drinks from the table.

Are there toilets?

What to do about rubbish?
We will have some bins in the reserve, however please help where you can by taking your rubbish home.
Are food and drink available?
Coffee and light snacks will be available to purchase. There are also a few picnic tables and BBQ's in the reserve if you'd like to BYO and make a day of it.
Where do I park?
The beauty of this event is its rural setting, and as such parking on rural dirt roads is limited. Please click here for parking details.
Does it get wet or muddy?
Yes, it can! (and we love it that way!) Our courses are along firebreaks and access trails. The surface is a mixture of grass, gravel and depending on recent weather - some small sections of mud or puddles. The majority of the course will be dry, but please keep this in mind when selection your shoes. We urge all competitors to take care in sections - as long as you don't fall over, mud can't hurt you!
